# Supported connectors

Find out data source support across Depot, Minerva, Nilus, and Vulcan. Use this page to see which data sources each component supports and to plan data movement, integration and processing workflows.

### Integration with DataOS Components

The two tables map to two stages of building a Data Product: **exploring a source before you build** (Depot, Minerva) and **productizing it: moving data in (if required) and transforming against it** (Nilus, Vulcan). A source can support one without the other, so check both before assuming full support.

### Depot and Minerva support

Answers: can DataOS connect to this source via Depot, and can Minerva query it live?

* **Data Source**: the database, warehouse, lake, or messaging system.
* **Type**: the category of the data source (Database, Data Warehouse & Data Lake, Messaging & Streaming Datastore, Miscellaneous).
* **Depot**: whether DataOS can connect to this source using the Depot Resource.
* **Minerva**: whether this source can be queried directly through Minerva, DataOS's federated SQL query engine, without a Depot.
* **Predicate Pushdown (Minerva)**: whether Minerva can push filters directly to the source instead of pulling all rows first, reducing data transfer and improving query performance.
* **Notes**: populated only where a specific caveat is confirmed.

Depot and Minerva give you live connectivity and federated querying for exploration. Nilus is built on an extended, purpose-built connector architecture designed to reach further — so if your source isn't in the Depot & Minerva table below, there's a good chance it's already supported for metadata extraction and data movement through Nilus. Check both tables for your source.

### Nilus and Vulcan connector support

Answers: can Nilus move data into or out of this source, and can Vulcan use it as an execution engine for transformations, data quality checks, and semantic modeling?

* **Source / Destination**: whether Nilus can read from (Source) or write to (Destination) this system in a pipeline.
* **Batch / CDC / Stream**: which Nilus ingestion types are supported: scheduled full/incremental reads (Batch), row-level change capture (CDC), or continuous event consumption (Stream).
* **Metadata**: whether Nilus can scan this source to extract schema and metadata for discovery.
* **Vulcan**: whether Vulcan can use this system as an execution engine (the dialect models compile to and materialize against). This is distinct from Depot above, which is just connectivity. A source can be a Depot without being a Vulcan engine, and vice versa.
